Brand Marni

Founded by Consuelo Castigloni in 1994, luxury label Marni carved a space in the fashion landscape by imbuing modern classics with a quirky bohemian inflection, characterized by retro color stories and free spirited play with luxurious fabrics and furs. A 2016 chaning of the guard led by Central Saint Martins alumni and creative director Francesco Risso sees the label's codes invigorated with a spirit of irreverence and anti conformity. Culling inspiration from sources as varied as the early twentieth century Dada art movement, childhood memories, and the Japanese deconstructionists, Risso extends the Italian womenswear label's sartorial vocabulary. Marni's menswear offerings weave in and out of traditionalism with staples such as pleated trousers and essential knitwear, while maintaining the quirky vision of its founder through with offbear graphic tees and vibrand patchworks.
