The GL3 loom, built over 50 years ago by Toyota Industries as Japan’s first power loom, is no longer supported with replacement parts. Maintenance is labor-intensive, relying on salvaged components from retired machines. It weaves at a slow pace - just 5 meters per hour. Yet the GL3 is unmatched.
