Yusuke Takahashi, founder and Creative Director of CFCL was born in Tokyo in 1985. After graduating from Bunka Fashion Graduate University in 2010, he joined Miyake Design Studio Co., Ltd. and started a position as a designer for ISSEY MIYAKE MEN in 2013. After 10 years of experience at Miyake Design Studio, he decided to launch his own label in 2020 - the start of CFCL Inc.
Established with the idea of conscious craftsmanship, CFCL (Clothing For Contemporary Life) makes versatile apparel rooted in the similarly technical appeal to Takahashi’s work for Miyake.
Indeed, its primary offering comprises knitwear developed by specially programmed computers that weave certified eco-friendly polyester yarns into soft, comfortable daily wear essentials. Takahashi looked to the flowing shapes of fine pottery for inspiration, channeling this motif into seamless construction and modular shapes that can blend together season after season.
