The Hanami Selvedge is a 12oz Japanese selvedge denim that celebrates the bloom of Japanese cherry blossoms every spring. “Hanami” is the customary tradition of appreciating the fleeting beauty of the blossoms as a representation of the ephemeral in nature. To evoke this spirit in denim, the fabric is finished with falling cherry blossoms woven into the selvedge ID. The face of the denim is neppy, speckled with little flecks of pink peeking through from the weft that has been dyed the color of the petals. This rigid, raw 12oz fabric will demonstrate the beauty of its impermanence, softening as the indigo chips and fades in the shape of its wearer's lived experience. Cut, sewn, built in Canada with contrast stitching, a Raging Brown Pull-Up leather patch, and silver metallic buttons and rivets.
