BWS-02 Utility Shirt Sashiko Double Gauze 8.5oz

The 8.5oz sashiko double gauze is a unique fabric for several reasons. Double gauze is characterized by its soft, lightweight and slightly airy properties. It’s made with two loosely woven layers of cotton fabrics that have been attached together. Because there are two layers woven together, the fabric has substantial weight. The outside fabric has a dark navy colour, while the inside is bright blue. Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique used for both decorative and functional purposes. It can be used to reinforce a fabric’s surface, repair a damaged part, or simply create an all-over pattern. It’s woven in Japan and sourced by Collect.
