This pant is made from ALBERTON's army duck fabric. ALBERTON is a company that existed in the USA from its founding in 1870 to the early 1900s, and was a fabric manufacturer that supplied ARMY DUCK to the US military at that time.
The history of ARMY DUCK has existed since the time of WWI, and among DUCK, relatively fine count yarn is used and woven with a high density, and the thickness is thicker than the DUCK fabric with the same weight.
It is characterized by being thin and dense. Even now, it is widely used as munitions such as bags, hammocks, and tents.
In order to reproduce the standards at that time as much as possible, G&S started by searching for the same shuttle loom as at that time. For more than 80 years, they discovered a heavy shuttle loom manufactured by Iwama Loom Mfg. Co., Ltd., which had been sleeping in an overseas warehouse. Six units are reimported to Japan and put into operation for weaving.
