Nudie Jeans Tuff Tony Dry Ace Selvage

Wide-leg Tuff Tony jeans are made from 14.2oz Dry Ace Selvage, a rugged Japanese denim crafted by Shinya Mills in Okayama.

The fabric is inspired by a 1950s vintage pair found in the US and reverse-engineered in Japan. Slub yarns from Yamachu Mengyo Co. Ltd. (Osaka) and heavily indigo-dyed warp yarns from Kaihara Co. Ltd. (Hiroshima) are woven on vintage shuttle looms at low tension, creating a textured, irregular surface.

The result is a deep redcast indigo denim with strong fading potential. Over time, it develops bold vertical fading, then shifts into a salt-and-pepper crosshatch texture, with high contrast wear, rich seams, and evolving blue tones as the indigo gradually breaks down.
