7.75" Cut Over-Slub Atlantic Selvedge Indigo 18oz

One of the most special denim fabrics by Oldblue Co. To say that this is an exclusively & freshly-milled denim is quite an understatement. As the background story behind this particular denim is extensively long. One of the missions towards this release is that Oldblue Co. wanted to do something in regard to the closest region-adjacent that they have, the South-East-Asia region. They wanted to make a statement that something entirely made in South-East-Asia can really stand out too in the denim industry and the world of blues. Oldblue Co. then worked together with Atlantic Mills from Thailand to make that idea happened. Both decided to make something really special; moreover something that they’ve never even done before. By special, they mean this denim was made using extremely short-staple slub yarn that’s originated from US cotton. It’s then spun specifically in Japan. And finally, it’s woven n’ shuttle-loomed in Thailand. It took over 1 year to actualize the idea into reality. And seeing the outcome, it’s safe to say all the hard-works were paid off. The denim is in the mid-weight class; weighted at 18oz. The denim is in sanforized, so you can wear them out of the box without any hustle. As you can easily witness, the main superiority of this denim lays on its particular slub texture; hence they named it, the "Over-Slub". The different with the other regular slub-textured denim fabrics is that the slub yarns were made using short-staple cotton and constructed mostly on its weft face. That’s why you can see those ‘Over-Slub’ textures in a horizonal strike. Take a second and let’s imagine how they’ll fade overtime.
