Barbour Beacon Heritage

For more than a century, Barbour has been a well-known and established manufacturer of innovative Jackets, upper and various menswear products. The British brand has been owned and managed by family members for five generations and remains to be located in the original location of South Shields since 1894. Their well known and highly successful waxed jackets still form an essential part of the Barbour collections and remains to be the brands’ original and iconic product.

The waxed jackets made by the English traditionalists are very functional and include useful details that work in the worst conditions imaginable and stand up to the toughest demands. In addition to this high level of functionality, the jacket has become a sought after product in pop culture and modern youth culture - seen on international music festivals on the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Rufus Wainwright as well as movie star Daniel Craig, in the latest installment of the Bond series.
Their Beacon Heritage Line recollects the company’s’ initial values and ideas and recreates new products that draw heavily on archive products. In this way, classic jackets and uppers are brought back to life, while new details and small changes and adaptions are made to adopt the modern zeitgeist. To achieve this, the Beacon Heritage Line cooporates with various producers and designers such as the Norton & Sons tailors, or the Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida.
